Hollywood is a glamorous place, and the big name actors and other celebrities are constantly hounded by papparazi and TMZ… hardly getting any time for themselves. But some times, for whatever reason, people just give up and stop following certain celebrities. Sometimes it’s because the celebrity stopped doing whatever it was that made them famous for 15 minutes, but other times, people just get bored of them. For whatever reason, these are some celebrities that have completely fallen off the public’s radar.
Number 6. Carrot Top
Scott Thompson was born February 25, 1965 in Florida. From a young age, Scott was always very shy, but soon learned that being a class clown allowed him to really let loose and get to know people better. He used comedy to overcome his intense shyness.
Number 5. Frankie Muniz
Frankie started out as Tiny Tim in a community theatre production of A Christmas Carol. Then he landed a few commercials, and a few straight to home video movies, but his big breakout role came with his casting in the smash Fox television series Malcolm in the Middle.
Number 4. Freddie Prinze Jr.
Former teen heartthrob Freddie Prinze jr is well known for his roles in the I Know What You Did Last Summer series, the live action Scooby-Doo movies, and She’s All That. Most of his movies were either critical or commercial bombs, however, and that took a toll on his reputation. Prinze starred in the 2008 release, Delgo…which broke a lot of records, for all the wrong reasons.
Number 3. Neve Campbell
Campbell is most famous for her role as Sidney Prescott in the Scream series and being the source of every young boys fantasies throughout the 90s. She got her start as a ballet dancer, but at age 15, she started acting. Before long, she came to be known as “Television’s most believable teenager”, with roles in television programs like The Kids In The Hall and Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Number 2. Snooki and Jwoww
Jersey Shore. Some would say it was the lowest of the low when it came to reality television, others would say it’s their favorite show of all time and small screen genius. The show was criticized heavily for reinforcing italian-american sterotypes, especially because some of the cast wasn’t ever Italian-American to begin with, like Snooki, who’s actually Chilean, or Jwoww, who’s Spanish and Irish.
Number 1. Rick Moranis
Moranis started off as a DJ for 3 different radio stations in Toronto, using the psudeonym “Rick Allan”. In 1980, Moranis’s friend Dave Thomas, then writer and performer on the cult hit television series Second City Television or SCTV as its known to its die hard fans, convinced Moranis to join the cast of the show. Moranis agreed and was an instant success.
Fame is a fickle mistress. It treats some with fortune and fairness, but many others simply collapse under the weight under it all. And for others still, fame just kind of wanes and they fall from the public eye.
