The Obamas make the most of their holiday in Indonesia. Pictures from the family’s vacation in Bali have surfaced online as they continue to enjoy their tropical vacation in the Asian country, where Barack Obama lived several years as a child.
The family arrived in the island of Bali on Friday, June 23. Mr. Obama was seen visiting the Jatiluwih rice terrace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, on Sunday. On Monday, the former U.S. president, his wife Michelle and daughters Sasha and Malia were pictured rafting at Bongkasa Village in Badung.
Later on Tuesday, the Obamas took a tour of the Tirta Empul Temple, where visitors had to wear sarong to enter the sacred place. Following their five-day stay in Bali, the family headed to the historic city of Yogyakarta on Wednesday.
Yogyakarta’s air force base commander says Obama, his wife and daughters drove to a luxury hotel in downtown Yogyakarta after arriving at the city’s military airport. The Obamas plan to visit the 9th century Buddhist temple at Borobudur and the Hindu temple of Prambanan during their two-day stay.
