Country star Josh Turner and his management officials have launched an online fundraiser to help support the injured crew members involved in a fatal bus crash last week, September 18.

The GoFundMe account will help cover the costs of the survivors’ health expenses.

“Many of you have asked where you can support the guys and their families,” Turner wrote on Facebook. “My management company has created a GoFundMe page for our road family for anyone wishing to contribute. Your prayers have been felt. Please keep praying.”

The crew members were travelling from a show in Paso Robles, California to Washington when their bus crashed through a barbed-wire fence and over a cliff.

Turner’s longtime sound engineer, David Turner, was killed in the crash and seven others sustained injuries.

“All of our crew suffered significant injuries and many have long roads to recovery,” he continued. “It’s a struggle to put into words the devastation and grief that our road family is trying to process. We lost a beloved member of our team, David Turner. He was like a brother to so many in this industry and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Please continue to keep David’s family in your prayers.”

Turner cancelled the remainder of his September shows following the accident.

California Highway Patrol officials are still investigating the crash and have yet to determine what caused the bus to leave the road.
