Armed with quick wit and sharp words, these super moms silence haters who always take issue with everything, from their parenting skills to babies’ looks.
AceShowbiz –
Social media is a double-edged sword. While it can be used to share positive things and connect people, often times it also becomes a tool to channel one’s mean spirit and eventually tears people apart or starts a feud.
Being public figures whose personal lives are often exposed, celebrity moms easily become target to this. While their intention to post anything about their children is just to immortalize and share those sweet moments, parenting police won’t let it slide just like that. From babies’ looks to what their moms feed them, these online trolls always find things to criticize.
This online criticism can be hurting, but some super moms will not let those hateful comments bring them down. Armed with quick wit and sharp words, they silence those haters with perfect responses. Here’s a look back at some of the strong clapbacks to remind Internet users that mom-shaming is not okay.
1. Khloe Kardashian – What a Disgusting Human Being
Khloe Kardashian may have got used to being shamed online, but insulting her daughter True Thompson was just too much to the mother of one. That’s why when a Twitter user called her daughter “not cute at all,” the reality TV star snapped back, “What self-respecting adult would even comment on a child’s appearance? What type of disgusting human being are you? It’s pathetic that you are this miserable in your life.”
2. Kristin Cavallari – I Starve Them
Despite doing her best to keep her three children, Camden, Jaxon and Saylor, healthy, Kristin Cavallari was accused of not feeding them enough after sharing a photo of her two sons shirtless while playing on the beach in 2016. Needless to say, the comment baffled “The Hills” alum who sarcastically responded, “Yep, I starve my children.”
3. Gabrielle Union – Not Taking Any Risk
In an Instagram video posted in December 2018, Gabrielle Union showered her baby daughter Kaavia with love by kissing her on the lips. Some of her followers overanalyzed and expressed their concern about the little one’s breathing pattern. But the “Being Mary Jane” star wouldn’t expose her only child to harm in any way and wrote back, “Hey guys I appreciate all the concern about kisses on the mouth and labored breathing, I am blessed enough to have a nurse here with us while at work. Kaav is healthy and I don’t even touch her without washing and sanitizing myself and everything and everyone that comes into contact with her.”
4. Jana Kramer – Mommy Knows Best
If you think you know better about baby’s food, think again. Jana Kramer‘s followers learned the lesson after criticizing the country music singer’s photo of a pile of baby food jars on a supermarket conveyor belt. When some people told her make her own baby food rather than buying the instant ones, she silenced them with another post that read, “Dear Mommy Shamers. Unless you are Jolie’s doctor, her father, or her mom, do NOT tell me how to raise my child, or how to feed her. Sincerely, Jolie’s MOM.”
5. Chrissy Teigen – Just Don’t Look
This may have nothing to do with Chrissy Teigen‘s parenting skills, but she once was slammed for sharing a picture of her being topless while breastfeeding her son Miles and pretending to breastfeed her daughter Luna’s doll. Being a queen of clapbacks she is, the model told those Internet trolls, “I don’t care to see grainy fireworks, coachella selfies or infinity pool pics but i let people live. calm your t**s and scroll on by.”
6. Amy Schumer – Nothing But Love
Being a working mom is not easy. Still, there were people who didn’t appreciate it and criticized Amy Schumer for going back to work just two weeks after giving birth to her first child with husband Chris Fischer. But the new mom and comedian refused to let it send negative energy to her and wrote instead, “Sending out love to all the moms shaming me for doing standup last night.”
7. Ayesha Curry – What Overweight?!
Ayesha Curry was clearly not having it when a fan told her to “portion-control” her son, Canon, after she joked that he was breaking her back in a photo she posted on Instagram earlier this month. The “Seasoned Life” author clapped back, “Excuse you? No. Just no.”
8. Snooki – They Walk!
Snooki was criticized for using strollers to push two of her three kids, 6-year-old Lorenzo and 4-year-old Giovanna, during a Disneyland trip in March, but she had a reason for it. “They walk!” the “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” star set things straight. “But in large crowds I prefer they sit their asses down. Saves me the stress of not losing my offspring.”
9. Cardi B – Not a Disappointment
A child is every parent’s source of joy, but some people thought that Cardi B‘s daughter Kulture wasn’t pretty enough to make her parents happy. “Your mom waited a whole nine months for you to be ugly and a bucket of disappointment,” the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker savagely responded.
10. Pink – It’s Supposed to Be Innocent
Pink thought people were overthinking it when she shared a picture of her son Jameson without a diaper on. Calling out those critics, the singer wrote on Instagram, “Going off about my baby’s penis? About circumcision??? Are you for real? As any normal mother at the beach, I didn’t even notice he took off his swim diaper. I deleted it because you’re all f**king disgusting. And now I’m turning off my comments and shaking my head at the state of social media and keyboard warriors and the negativity that you bring to other people’s lives.” She sarcastically added while sharing a censored version of the photo, “Here’s a picture of the pelican we obviously caught and abused for hours before dangling baby penis in its face.”
