Ahead of the premiere of season 23 of “The Bachelor” on Monday, January 7, Josh Murray took to Instagram to send well-wishes for the new leading man Colton Underwood. However, he seemingly saw it as an opportunity to drop a massive shade on her ex Andi Dorfman.
In the now-deleted post, Josh shared a photo of him proposing to “The Bachelorette” alum, who accepted his proposal over fellow suitor Nick Viall back in 2014. However, he put a devil emoji over her face.
“Haterz will say it’s photoshopped … hoping the new bachelor comes away with an Angel,” he captioned the insulting snap, adding the hashtags #seasonpremier #thebachelor #humor #isthisnotfunny #ok #sorrymom #watchingfootball2night #bye #doesanyonehaveasenseofhumorin2019 at the end of it. Topping it off, he made the geotag Hell, Norway.
The former pro athlete and Andi got engaged in 2014 before splitting less than a year later, in January 2015. He slammed Andi in an interview back in 2017. “That’s her way of making money and stuff, and that’s great, and if I’ve got to be the fall guy for everything in whatever her stories are, then whatever,” he said.
“It’s a shame that somebody would have to stoop to that level to make money and have a career, putting someone else down,” he continued. “I have no intentions of ever seeing her or talking to her again.”
Following his failed relationship with Andi, Josh appeared on “Bachelor in Paradise“. He got engaged to Amanda Stanton at the finale of the spin-off. Still, the romance ended in a messy breakup. They did rekindle their romance briefly only to split again in a very public ordeal.
Josh threatened to take a legal action against his ex-fiancee. ” just want Amanda to stop lying about me, stop speaking to the press about me, and for Amanda and her friends to stop trying to cyber bully me,” he said back in April 2017. Stanton previously accused Josh of being “extremely controlling.”
