Gary and Wife Welcome First Child

Kang Gary once again surprises his fans with happy news. On Friday, November 17, the 39-year-old South Korean rapper announced that he and his wife recently welcomed their first child. He took to his Chinese social media account to share a picture of the baby’s feet.

“Gary Junior,” he simply captioned it. Based on the caption, it’s believed that the baby is a boy, though the former “Running Man” star didn’t provide any details about the baby, such as when he was born and his measure.

Gary left “Running Man” in late 2016 after being part of the show since the beginning in 2010, reasoning that he wanted to spend more time on music. After filming his last episode as a regular cast member on October 31, 2016, he later appeared for Member’s Week in January this year.

In April, he shocked his fans by suddenly announcing that he’s married to a non-celebrity woman. He quickly deleted the announcement for an unknown reason. A representative for his agency said, “Gary usually doesn’t tell us about his private life. I didn’t even know he had someone special,” as he reportedly didn’t tell his friends about his marriage either.

In the same month, it was reported that Leessang, the hip-hop duo which consisted of Gary and Gil, may have disbanded after they established their own music labels. Later in May, he deleted all his posts on his Instagram account, only to return to the photo-sharing site again in June.

In October, Gary released his new track “Worry”. It’s recently announced that he would return to TV on a Chinese reality show. Titled “Kang Ceremony”, it follows the rapper on a vacation in 6 cities throughout China.

“It’s been a while. Early this year, I let you know about a record of my travels in China through ‘Kang Ceremony.’ Please look at this fun teaser,” Gary wrote on his Weibo account.
